Q. How much do you charge?
A. We have no set price. The amount we charge depends on many things. As a rule of thumb; the larger the venue the more our costs go up, bringing the overall price up. This is also the case for private functions such as weddings, and when we are required to travel long distances. We will always tailor a quote specifically for you, and can come to an agreement that suits both us and yourselves. No one gig is ever the same!
Q. What kind of music do you play?
A. We play a wide range of covers; from the classic rock songs by the likes of Guns N' Roses and U2, right smack bang up to date with the likes of The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Razorlight, The Kooks and Stereophonics. We don't just stick to the one genre either, as we throw in a few classics from the likes of Michael Jackson, Kool and the Gang, Stevie Wander and The Black Eyed Peas for good measure. If needed, we can farward on our set lists.
Q. How long can you play for?
A. We have around 3 and a half hours worth of material which we can play as required. We usually play 2 sets of just over an hour with a short break in between them. We are however used to working around other events such as food, aswell as doing more than 2 sets. As before, this is all down to individual preference and we pretty much do as we are told!
Q. Can you recommend a DJ or can you play music during intervals?
A. It is common practice for us to play music through our PA System during intervals and before/after the band. We can either make our own set lists from our music bank or play music through the system provided by you. This is a popular option that we provide as it eliminates the need to arrange a DJ aswell as a band.
Q. What types of venue are you able to play in?
A. We are yet to come cross a venue that we cannot play! Anything from small rooms with an audience of 20, up to large halls with 800 are absolutely fine. We can also play outdoors, however we do require sufficient cover from the weather for our equipment. Something as simple as a marquee or gazeebo will suffice! Anything larger than your regular village/town hall please contact us for more details.
Q. How much space do you require to set up and perform?
A. We are currently looking at different ways to reduce the overall footprint of our equipment and performance area, but we have been known to fit into some suprisingly tight spaces! We usually arrange to come and view the venue before hand, but if this is not possible then contact us with the dimensions of the area in question. It goes without saying that we prefer as much space as possible (So that we are not hitting each other in the face with each other's guitars), and a raised platform is preferrable but this is often not possible and certainly not a problem! We also require a space in front of the performance area for our mixing desk and sound engineer.
Q. How long do you need before the performance to set up?
A. Getting a quality sound is by no means easy, and we believe we have it spot on. This does however take time on the night. We like to be fully set up, sound checked and off stage before the guests begin to arrive. From unloading all equipment, to setting up and soundchecking we usually require a minimum of an hour and a half. This once again depends on venue size, as larger venues tend to take slightly longer to get the sound just right! This is obviously a rough guide so contact us for specifics!
Q. How far will you travel?
A. In theory there is no limit to how far we will travel (As long as our travel expenses are covered!)
Q. Will it be too loud, for children for example?
A. No. We have done many shows with children present and never had any complaints. We Engineer the sound to be a good volume in front of the stage and dance floor, but quieter towards the back of the room. We are obviously a live band so it can be loud as such, but so far no one has ever left an Eventine show with bleeding ear drums!!!
Q. Can you do requests?
A. We will always try our best to give our audience what they want. Requests on the night are very difficult, as you either know the song or you don't. However if you have booked us and have any special requests for us to play on the night, with enough notice it is possible!
Q. Will I get booking confirmation and what if I need to cancel?
A. We will send booking confirmation on receipt of a deposit. For cancellations please see our cancellation policy.
Q. Can you provide posters for my booking?
A. You can download a template of our poster on our downloads page to print off as required.
